What goes where
AssemblyAI is the speech-to-text provider that turns spoken audio into a live transcript. Built for real-time streaming, it is well suited to live conversations where fast transcription matters. It receives call audio routed through VB-CABLE directly from your computer, so Haide can follow the conversation as it happens.
OpenAI generates suggestions grounded in your own knowledge. Haide first searches your documents locally, then sends the question text and relevant excerpts directly to OpenAI to help form a concise response based on your notes, projects, or reference material.
Cerebras is the optional provider for speed-first AI suggestions. Its wafer-scale AI hardware is designed for extremely fast inference, providing near-instant responses for quick questions that don't require your document-based expertise. It receives the live question text directly from your computer and does not search your documents or use locally retrieved document context.
Haide servers support the website, purchases, accounts, community, support requests, and license activation. They do not receive or relay your call audio, transcripts, AI prompts, AI responses, or provider API keys. Once your license is activated, the Haide desktop call assistant does not need to communicate with Haide servers. Call audio and AI requests connect directly from the desktop app to the relevant providers you configure.
