Haide Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
Haide is built around a simple principle: your data is yours. This policy explains what we collect, what we never collect, and why.
What data we collect
We collect only the minimum necessary to operate the service:
- Purchase information: your email address and payment confirmation.
- License and activation information: your license entitlement, activation status, and activation metadata needed to validate the desktop app.
- Support tickets: your name, email, and message when you contact us.
- Community posts: your username, email, and the content you choose to submit.
- Basic analytics: page views and anonymous usage statistics.
What data we do not collect
Haide runs on your machine. We never collect or store:
- Your documents or uploaded files
- Your vector database or embedded content
- Your transcriptions or raw call audio
- Your AssemblyAI, Cerebras, or OpenAI API keys
- The contents of your conversations
Third-party services
When you use Haide, you interact directly with providers you configure with your own accounts:
- AssemblyAI for live transcription of audio routed through VB-Cable
- OpenAI for document-grounded suggestions using relevant context
- Optional Cerebras for speed-first suggestions that do not search your documents
We do not proxy those requests through our own servers.
How we use your data
We use your email address and purchase information to provide your license entitlement, validate in-app activation, respond to support requests, and occasionally notify you of important product updates.
After paid activation, normal Haide desktop use is designed not to require ongoing requests to the Haide website. Live transcription and AI suggestions still require Internet access to the providers you configure.
What may be stored locally
Haide may store application data locally on your computer, including:
- API keys
- Application settings
- Embedded document data
- Local vector database
- Local license or activation data
- Diagnostic log files such as local error and warning details
Data retention
Purchase records are retained for tax and accounting purposes. Support tickets are retained for product support history. Community posts remain until you request deletion.
Cookies
This website uses minimal session and authentication storage. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data at any time through support.
