How Haide AI Call Assistant Works
Haide captures call audio through VB-Cable, sends the routed audio directly to AssemblyAI for live transcription, detects pauses, and uses OpenAI to suggest document-grounded answers from your embedded .txt files. Optional Cerebras can provide speed-first suggestions without searching your documents.
The audio pipeline: from live speech to AI suggestions
Haide AI Call Assistant routes call audio on your Windows PC, transcribes it with AssemblyAI, and detects pauses to trigger suggestions. Local document search supplies context for OpenAI, while optional Cerebras suggestions provide a separate speed-first path during interviews, sales calls, and meetings.
What stays local, and what goes to AI providers?
Your knowledge files, document embeddings, semantic search, and pause detection stay on your computer. Call audio goes directly to AssemblyAI; question text and relevant document excerpts go directly to OpenAI; optional Cerebras requests use question text. Haide servers do not relay or process this call content. Local-first means fewer processing layers, not that cloud AI features work offline.
Check the pipeline before an important call
Use a short test call to confirm caller playback, live transcription, and relevant results from your notes. Click Embed after changing your .txt files, and click STOP when the call ends to avoid continued provider usage. Follow the illustrated Windows and VB-CABLE setup guide for the checklist, or visit Haide support for troubleshooting.
